Sr. Cyber Security Architect - Microsoft Purview Expert

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Cyber Security Architect with a primary focus on Microsoft Purview implementation and management. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in data governance, compliance, and risk management using Microsoft Purview. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for security, the ability to drive projects to completion, and excellent communication skills to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Primary: Microsoft Purview Implementation and Management

Design and Implement Data Governance Solutions:
Architect and implement robust data governance solutions using Microsoft Purview to ensure data protection, compliance, and risk management.
Consult, Lead, and Assist:
Lead and assist clients with the implementation of Microsoft Purview, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Key competencies: Data Compliance and Risk Management

Data Classification and Labeling:
Expertise in data classification, labeling, and integrated rights management to ensure persistent protection using Microsoft Purview.
Data Loss Prevention (DLP):
Implement and manage DLP policies to protect sensitive information.
Ideal candidates will have experience with DLP for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and managed endpoints.
Insider Risk Management:
Develop and implement strategies to identify and mitigate insider risks using Microsoft Purview.
Monitor and analyze user behavior to detect potential insider threats and take appropriate actions.
Experience with eDiscovery and Content Search:
Conduct eDiscovery searches to identify and retrieve relevant data for legal and compliance purposes.
Manage eDiscovery cases, including data collection, preservation, and review.
Data Lifecycle Management:
Design and implement data retention policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Continuous Improvement

Stay Current with Emerging Trends:
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data governance and compliance.
Proactively Recommend Improvements:
Proactively recommend improvements to enhance the security and efficiency of the data governance infrastructure.

Project Management

Lead and Manage Cybersecurity Projects:
Lead and manage cybersecurity projects from inception through completion.​​​​​
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of security initiatives.

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on data governance and compliance.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
High level of integrity and ethical standards.

Benefits

The base salary for this full-time position in the US begins at $150,000 - $200,000/annually + bonuses + benefits. Salary ranges vary within the range depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, relevant education/training, and years of experience. Please note that the compensation details reflect the base salary only, and do not include commission, bonus or benefits.
